My 2007.

I can still remember!

January
Got my first job. I still remember after the 'O' Levels almost everyone was frantic about getting a job because it was cool? I don't know. But of course, with such a long holiday, not doing anything will really be a waste. I looked through the Classifieds and tried many job offers, which I actually started searching for in December 2006. I remembered going for some Starhub promoter job but it was a no basic pay, commission only sort of job and it wasn't great. But I made a friend there, who told me not to join. Ahahaha lame, cos she was trying for the job too. Then the other jobs were either not employing people below 18 or insane working hours, just because they think you have a lot of free time. Anyway in Jan I found an interesting offer in the Classifieds and tried for it. Can't really remember what they advertised but it had something to do with dog-lovers. Turned out it was a shop selling food for dogs. The main shop was at a petrol station in Katong so I went there for an (informal) interview and got the job! But there was trainings first, to learn how to bake those dog cookies and it was 3 days, with pay. And I sorta disliked the trainings. Anyway after the trainings I started work officially at their branch at Compass Point and it was just a small counter in Cold Storage, with 1 person working at a time. I was working part-time so I did either the morning or afternoon shifts, and it was quite short, with quite a lot of off-days, that is, until one full-timer got hospitalised and me and another part-timer (who was also waiting for her 'O' Level results) had to cover for her, and we worked almost everyday, 6 hours. Well it was tiring, but come to think of it, the job gave quite a lot of freedom, since the boss is always at the main shop, and the pay is reasonably good. So breaks are anytime you want. Lol and I still sort of hated the job. Well it gets boring after a while. It's not like that counter is selling every minute or something. Ok I better not go on. I might reveal some corporate secret which I should keep to myself, even if I'm not working there anymore. I carried on with this job till March, when I quit. It was a great experience overall. And the boss, maybe cos she's a she, is not mean or stingy. Which company did I work for? It's a dog bakery called US Doggie Bakery (http://usdb.com.sg/). You should go see what they have to sell. Very interesting. And the food are all edible by humans, too. Oh on my second last day there, the boss finally hired another full-timer to relieve us of the work. What the.

February
The highlight of this year probably happened on February. The release of the 'O' Level results on the 9th. I still remember freaking out the day before and telling XJ quite a lot of stuff heh. We met up first on the day itself, and Ron's mum fetched us to PRCS for the moment. And when I saw my name on the screen, hahaha seriously lost all my senses for a second. I know. I was expecting some triple science student to get it (as of always anyway). And the next day I went back to work at the dog bakery. Well the full-timer was still not ready to work. And the bakery sold Chinese New Year packages. For the dogs! With yu sheng and fortune cookies and all. And people buy them. They are seriously expensive too. Wow.

March
I started this blog on the 18th. And I don't think I have to continue with the rest of the months cos they are all archived in my blog already. So there's January and February, and from March onwards I have them all recorded down in my entries. Well you won't be interested anyway. Heh :)

I am going to my aunt's for countdown later! The arrival of New Year 2008! And yes the CPPA test on 2nd January. I'm bringing my notes along. Cooooool.
