Post-Christmas revelations.
Seems like I'm making a big hoo-ha over Christmas. I realised it too. I'm not a Christian though. But Christmas, in my memory, has always been fun, peaceful, and (dare I say it) comes with presents. Ok apart from the materialistic last part, the other points sort of sum it up. And my birthday, which will be 2 days after Christmas. Heh. Heh. Heh. So Christmas really = a lot of things.
Yesterday was great! Rox my sockx. Hahaha. And some surprising Christmas SMSes from people I thought I've lost touch with already. Really brings everyone together. Anyway as of the previous Christmases, we ate, talked, and made merry. (Ok maybe not the make merry part). Loads of food. Loads of company. Loads of fun. Went to Pasir Ris Park for a while. The kids cycled. We (the teens, ya know) roller-bladed. And yes, surprisingly I can still roller-blade after not touching it for years. Like riding a bicycle, I guess it's one of the skills you can never forget once you learn it. Maybe the skill can turn rusty, but not forgotten. And at night, presents! And more food! And we chatted the night away. (haha riiiiiight)
Tomorrow is my birthday! I know I've been mentioning this a lot too. Well, I'm not ashamed to tell you guys what I'm doing tomorrow: Doing reports and revision. Serious. I've celebrated my birthday already, albeit an early one. Hahaha. Cos yesterday, I got my birthday cake already, and Xi Xiang there were no extra slices so I couldn't save any for you. Haha sorry. Oh the cake was filled with chocolate, cookies and cream ice cream and chocolate (again) waffle sticks (Uhm, I wanted ingredients that can release endorphins so everyone will be happy?). I know the birthday cake sounds extremely heaty, and it is. So I drowned it with Jolly Shandy. Ahahahaha what's a party without (some. Ok maybe a few drops of) alcohol. Jolly Shandy is probably the least alcoholic drink of all the alcoholic drinks in the world. I'll leave the drinking till 18. LOL. Come to think of it, I've always been celebrating Christmas and my birthday together. But it's ok I'm fine with it.
I think I'll ask for another cake tomorrow. At the least, have a cake. And then celebrate it with my family. And then back to schoolwork. Reality never fails to crash down on fun. That's life anyway.
I think the articles in Opposing Viewpoints are quite interesting (well..). Especially those on global warming and animal conservation. What? They really are.
Wonderful.
