You know how, when a tsunami is approaching, the sea water on the beach will recede drastically and all will be calm initially. Then suddenly, PHWOAR huge waves start hitting the shores, wrecking everything in their path. Isn't this what's happening nowwwww? Still calm now, cos the week is almost over, and it is getting calm and all. Then, next week! Gah what an analogy. I think I'm losing it. Ok no I'm not.

I just realised how old I got, as in really. I remembered how the words 'geting a driving licence' was one of the furthest things from my mind because I am not old enough yet. And now, it's so close. Everyone is talking about it, because they can get it already (once their birthdays are over once more and that will make them 18). Maybe it's because my birthday is late in the year. I don't actually realise I'm no longer 16, but 17 this year already (and those who have early birthdays will be 18). I can watch M18 movies after my next birthday (LEGALLY. You know, in the cinemas), and what the majority of 18 year olds do lah, generally. Wow I'm 17 already.

My cousin began his first day in Sec 1 yesterday, and all the orientation stories (which Xi Xiang should be very familiar with, cos it's her SSS) he told me reminded me of my Sec 1 orientation, if only I can remember it. Anyway I told him to choose a good CCA. My secondary school CCAs were horrible ok maybe not horrible, just... not really nice, and I regretted it. I should not have went to that lameo Radio Station CCA audition. If not I could have gotten into Band already! Band leh! And I end up wasting my Sec 1 and Sec 2 being a DJ and meddling with directing a short video. LAME STUFF. Oh but one thing good is that the school entered us for some pitch competition where we had to present some idea of something and so me, Pun Hei and 2 juniors (being seriously uninterested in it at first) came up with a really crappy idea (An evil alien stealing the last Heineken bottle anyone?) and actually won GOLD at the competition. AHAHAHAHAHA. Apologies to the other schools who entered the competition, taking it very seriously, and lost to us. Then after Sec 2, during the December holidays, there was a sudden CCA meeting (which I went late for, cos I don't like the CCA, see) and it turned out to be Mr. San telling us that the Radio Station CCA had to be closed down due to 'not many chances to get CCA points'. Hahaha imagine my joy (which I obviously did not show until we were dismissed) and I told Pun Hei it was a dream come true. What... I really disliked that CCA. So after the meeting, we gathered at the Radio Station (which is one pathetic small unit in the canteen, but ok to tell the truth it was comfortable cos it was carpeted and there were big soft pillows everywhere) where Ms. Sajnani (HAHAHAHA I really didn't like her cos of the CCA. She did something which I found unreasonable.) and Mdm. Kamisah were telling us we have to choose another CCA and how we will miss it blah blah and I glanced around and saw some members (there were only around 12 of us in the CCA. Crap lah) feeling sad or something, and there I was, beaming with glee! Ok that was kinda not right (Heh ok whoever was in the Radio Station before too, no offence) but what, I was happy cos I got rid of the CCA without losing any CCA points ok. And I could have kicked myself cos why didn't I choose band, this time when I actually got a second chance. I went to join Angklung, which was, how should I say this.. crap too. But I got to experience going for SYF through Angklung (Radio Station SYF what?) so it's not too bad.

Secondary school memories. Oh to end this on a politically correct note (and you guys probably won't read the huge chunk of text above anyway), I did learn new skills from those CCAs and it will help, somehow.

These few days are freezing. When the wind blows through the door (I'm staying near the park, the sea) it literally sends chills down your spine. When I woke up in the morning today it was freezing cold. But of course, not the winter kind of cold, but the Singapore cold kind of cold. Those where the temperature will not fall below 15 degrees C. Cold enough with the wind though.
