BAAAACK.
10 plus at night yesterday, after collecting our luggage, a few more jumpshots here and there (even at the conveyor belt where we collected our luggage, we are so pro) while the many onlookers standing at the opposite side of the glass wall stare on, a big group hug and one last goodbye, I left with my fam and once I stepped outside of the air-conditioning haven that is Terminal 1, the intense temperature and humidity hit me in an instant and I know I'm back in Singapore.
The weather is more bearable now, but yesterday night was like a weather shock (in the same context of experiencing a culture shock). How did we survive Singapore's weather again?
I've left this space stagnant for around a month or so, not because I wanted to, but China somehow blocked Blogger a few days after my previous post. You know, Internet is still strictly monitored and censored over there.
Anyway, after spending so many weeks in Dalian, I'm definitely going to miss some stuff there. It's not like a tour where we just spend 1 or 2 weeks there, it's 7 weeks! We would have made friends with the people there (with Hui Ling having the most stall-owner friends) and the dogs there. Lol. I wonder how Bolt is doing now hmmmmmm. Oh I woke up today with a slight (very slight) feeling that I'm still in the dorm room in Dalian, but hey! I'm not! Heh. (It's a happy thing, trust me)
I still remember the first week when everyone wore so many layers of clothes cos it's cold, but in the subsequent weeks we were dressing like we're in Singapore already. And now we are really back in Singapore.
More stuff I will miss is how the six of us (you know who you are!) stay so close to each other and how we eat practically have breakfast, lunch and dinner together and how we play badminton along the road just outside the dorm at night and how there is damn nice ice cream everywhere in school. Beijing on the other hand is pretty much very polluted, but the Great Wall and palaces are all interesting places.
ALL THE NOSTALGIA ASIDE, there is still so much schoolwork to be done lor. Anti climax to the max. At least going for this immersion programme has been a wonderful experience. LOL "experience"! Best word!
And to all my friends: MEET UP SOON!
