Today Cass and I had a movie marathon. Granted that we only watched 2 movies, but hey, given the current economic situation and ticket prices being more expensive on weekends, watching 2 movies is counted as a marathon already. Watching 3 is way too much.

Ice Age 3 was quite funny, quite interesting, quite cute. Frankly I've not watched any of the previous Ice Age movies (I think) but I know there's always this prehistoric squirrel chasing an acorn. Well, here's the squirrel again. Lol. But the most important thing is, we watched it in 3D. 3D technology has really advanced. The first 3D movie I watched on the big screen was... SPY KIDS. That's very very long ago. And the 3D glasses were still the cheapo blue and red film lenses and the images were quite blurry and had distorted colours. The 3D effect was somewhat there, but it was still quite a headache to watch. Now, the 3D glasses look more futuristic, and watching a whole movie in 3D now is like watching the actual movie in 2D + 3D effects. Meaning 100% accurate colour reproduction and comfortable viewing. Oh, did I mention that one ticket was $13. Faints.

We both agreed that we should have read the Half Blood Prince book before catching Harry Potter cos there were some parts in the show we couldn't really understand what was going on. At least there was this girl behind us explaining parts of the story to her partner loud enough for me to hear and understand a bit more. But the show was still nice. I don't see where the 'darker' parts of the show were, as claimed by the reviews but I can see why parents are worried that this installment of the Potter movies might not be so suitable for their young ones. But it's okay one lah~

Okay need to sleep.
