Since the study of Microbiology, (for the better or worse) I find myself more paranoid to food.
I have second thoughts about eating chicken/duck/char siew rice cos of the amount of bacteria that can multiply on the meat once they are left hanging in the stalls.
Before, if an apple has some small holes or bruises on it, I will still eat it cos I didn't really care. But now, I cut those portions of because I found out the holes/bruises are caused by bacteria.
I get paranoid when drinking Vitagen or Yakult because I got a better understanding of what they contain. Billions of live bacteria. (Good ones, but still..)
