We've got each other's backs.
Memo for yesterday: 'Bring more money!'
The gift exchanging was a very last minute thing, which I suggested since, you know, Christmas(!) is nearing. Heh. As we were having dinner at Marina Square, we did the buying there, after splitting up first. And because we were buying on the marginal line of time, we were limited to two places, namely Action City and Mini Toons, cos I said that we cannot get food products as they cannot be kept. So that leaves trinkets. Or souvenirs. Our budget was not incredible either. So we bought cheapo, BUT MEANINGFUL, items. Hahaha
Sakae Sushi!
Well there's a first time for everything. Yesterday was WS's first time buying a present (... shocked 1/2) and XJ's first time eating at Sakae. Ha their virgin times.
And we exchanged our (last minute) gifts, acting like as if we bought it long ago.
We drew lots and decided who to give who their presents. And I can say that sometimes, the thing you least expected to happen will, well, happen. Hahaha nevermind.Yes both photos above were posed. How could you've guessed? Haha
Anyway,XJ got his red mushroom from WS. (Doubles as a handphone holder. Useful.)
Ron got his mushroom container storage box from XJ. (Mushroom again. I know. Hahaha we do not bear any grudges against mushrooms by the way. They are healthy food, too.)
I got this pen + paper weight + clip from Sebastian. Ok I shan't say we were all unwilling to get his gift, but he did give the impression that he got a photo frame. And we all do not want a photo frame. Hahaha practical. Sorry but sometimes, the thought does not count.
WS got the... uhm I forgot what's that, but yes it's useful too, from Ron. If I did not remember wrongly I think it's a modelled after a mouse. So it's a mouse-something.
Sebas's chipmunk head was from me. Besides being a darn cute decorative, it doubles as a handphone holder too, similar to that red mushroom.
And if you've noticed, we all got items that are USEFUL, and can also act as a decoration at home. Hahaha we make our money worth. And also, if you've noticed, we got kiddy stuff. LOL no we're not finding our inner child but because we bought the stuff from Action City and Mini Toons (no prizes for guessing which are from which store. It's too obvious.)Hahaha Sebas did not make that face for nothing. Some things shouldn't be elaborated here. LOL mysterious eh, brings about that spooky feeling. Well it's nothing like that.
Uhm, the festive spirit got to me. Hahaha nah must be laughing at something Ronald did, probably.
Nope, it's not about time to be worried about the bill.
Hah, one of the managers there was more than friendly, took Ron's present and told us to explain it to her what it was. Volunteered to help us take a photo too. Wah this is really going the extra mile for service. Should have took the opportunity to ask her for a discount too, might as well. Hahaha nah we're not that evil.
Christmas is always the time for happiness, joy, and a peace of mind, isn't it.
:)
******
Well the first week of the school holidays is almost up. There are tests flooding in after the term break and of course, the Semestral Exams! Time to go back into reality and acknowledge all of them.
