A blast from the past.

The past I'm referring to here is actually just around one year ago. These few days I've been going towards Pasir Ris central area and while taking 358 back from Esparis, I'll go pass PRCS. And then all the secondary school memories came flying to me and hit me like a hard brick. Lame analogies aside, I still remember all the secondary school times and it was rather sentimental. Anyway the whole school is painted with a new colour now (ok maybe that's a long ago thing. I rarely take 358 these days) with striking words and banners all around, a huge difference from when I first stepped into PRCS, when it was still white, and the words 'East Zone Centre of Excellence for Music' where still missing, and the People Developer logo was non-existent. The principal then was considered strict enough, but people don't treasure what's around them and true enough, James Ong was one really bad replacement. PE lessons were dreaded and the toilets were huge. I cut my finger accidentally while slicing chicken during the Home Economics Practical test, where I cooked Tom Yam Chicken. The D&T rooms where dark and.. dusty. The library was ... and I never borrowed a book from there before. The AVA Room beside the library was no better because it reminded me of my CCA (shudder). The fishball noodle selling uncle and auntie. The fountain. The... staff rooms and General Office. The Hall! Orals, Mid Year and EOY exams, O Levels! All there. My name is there too. Hehe. CCAs ending at around 7pm once James Ong took over. Sec 2 go central's coffee shop to eat unhealthy french fries with lots of pepper and bubble tea with the.. Pau Family. HAHAHA lol kids. Made all sorts of wonderful friends and classmates. Met many great teachers (John Lim, Lena Lim..) and enriching(?) substitute teachers. The lab practicals. The classrooms. Use Your Hand campaign, where everyone cleans the school. And all that I can remember. Well, it was fun. Even though I really hated the school in Secondary 1. Don't ask why.
