Chinese New Year is all about visiting relatives, friends, eating the CNY goodies, watching old Hong Kong movies making their re-runs on Channel 8, collecting ang pows, gambling (mildly), eating more CNY goodies, talking, and having fun lah, as a whole.
Watching Kung Fu Dunk was kinda stressful, seeing that almost 80% of the people in the cinema are Jay Chou fans because they laugh at every little thing Jay Chou does, so when a funny scene appears, everyone will laugh and you will have to laugh too, if not the fans will wallop you up after the movie. Surprisingly though, we manage to get last minute tickets for the show despite it being the first day of CNY and it is at the Cathay, of all places. CJ7 would make a better movie though.
And still on the first day of CNY, I saw an incident that I've never thought of seeing before. Let's just say a drunken old man, his bicycle, blood, an ambulance and the staff and a crowd was involved.
Moving on to more light-hearted stuff, the Heng or Huat movie is... worse than Kung Fu Dunk, but, for the sake of CNY, it's uh.. festive enough. Ok I don't know what I'm typing. Hahaha. See ya.
