The CLS CNY Dinner yesterday was not half bad. At least there's still yu sheng and live performances. Buffet's still the usual: bee hoon, fried rice, chicken, drinks that taste like cough medicine etc. And everyone, go to the Vanda Room in SP. It's probably the nicest place ever (in SP, of course). Like 5 star hotel! I stepped into it and felt as though I was transported out of SP and into.. a 5 star hotel.

If you want to soak up the festive spirit, then you should have visited Giant Tampines yesterday. Everyone was doing their last minute shopping for their reunion dinner and Chinese New Year. We were there at around 10.30pm, and it got more crowded by the hour. Partly because it was opened 24 hours yesterday too. So families of all sizes flocked down and snatched for food. The queuing up at the counters to pay was also quite insane. And Giant is big. Yesterday was my first time there, so that leaves Courts being the only one left I've not entered. Many children were spotted there too, at midnight, which probably means they are skipping school (and their school's CNY celebrations) the next day. Hm, I don't remember me skipping any of my school's CNY celebrations before. Tsk. What no childhood. But really, the mood at Giant was good, with everyone noisy, pushing, shoving, shouting, but most importantly, happy.

Alright, it's Chinese New Year's eve today and Chinese New Year Day One tomorrow!
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
